For most of us after more than a year of working from home, endless Zoom meetings and Teams calls, taking long walks, and (hopefully) enjoying a change of pace in life, the return to offices, in-person meetings and social interactions means a welcome return to the before times. Yet the world we are now facing is radically different from the one we left back in March 2020 – we as an industry are facing everything from new macroeconomic and geopolitical headwinds and regulatory environments to exciting new opportunities and concerning new pitfalls that have arisen during the pandemic.
For sub-advisory gatekeepers at the forefront of the asset management industry, the need to balance both the immediate issues ahead with those that are still far-off has never been of more importance. Yet as we often know in hindsight, immediate issues are sometimes overhyped, and opportunities that appear far-off can suddenly appear in your rear-view mirrors. As investors, both near- and far-sightedness can turn into regrets – so join the Sub-Advisory Institute in our first return-to-live conference at the Four Seasons Boston in September to discuss, debate, and engage with your peers on traversing the ever-delicate and complicated balancing act.

The Sub-Advisory Institute is a private membership organization for buyers of sub-advisory services and manager research, selection & oversight executives representing mutual fund companies, OCIOs, insurance firms, retirement platforms, and other asset managers which out-source. Through expert-led panel discussions, presentations, guest speakers and live market research, each of our two annual events will bring together leading participants in the sub-advisory landscape to assess how the investment objectives of institutions are changing and how firms that offer sub-advised strategies can respond to these needs.
