2018 Global West Government Funds Roundtable

At the Global West Government Funds Roundtable, a gathering of Sovereign Wealth Funds, Central Banks, and Government Pensions, we will focus on key investment challenges facing asset allocators in this new era. Topics will include approaches to measuring and managing risk, and maintaining liquidity, as we prepare for a period of potentially lower returns. We will look at the need for greater diversification, as benchmarks become increasingly narrow and expensive and how alternative asset classes, such as real estate and private equity, may be impacted by tighter monetary policy. We also will consider new financial tools, such as crypto-currencies, and blockchain, and the opportunities and risks they may provide for institutional investors in this era.  Finally, we will look at the growing trend of non-traditional risks, including ESG factors, in the portfolio decision making process and how it may be impacted by the end of easy money.
