Current Forecast: Inflation and Other Market Disruptions
The resurgence of inflation as concern for consumers, businesses, and investors has dominated headlines in our inboxes since the October 2021. Many factors have contributed to this spike, but the most significant and undisputed is the sudden and unanticipated imbalance between supply and demand among specific sectors of the economy. A prime example of this phenomena is the shortage of semiconductor chips that resulted in Toyota Motor outselling General Motors in the United States for the first time in history.
Over the next few months, we are sure to see additional effects of today's high inflationary environment, but the key concern remains – is this a temporary disruptor or a long-term consideration for investors? If the latter is true, how will RIAs navigate this market risk among others like rising interest rates, elevated equity valuations and tax increases?
We at the RIA Institute invite you to join us and other like-minded RIAs in a safe, socially distanced setting for a candid discussion of these and other relevant topics at our 8th Annual RIA Central Investment Forum on April 5th at the Four Season Hotel – Chicago.
