The Reinvention of the Advisor
The global pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we all live, conduct business, etc. and the independent RIA industry is no exception. During this time of great adversity, advisors have risen to the challenge, proven their worth and continue to build stronger relationships to make a meaningful impact on their clients’ lives and the accumulation of their wealth. In many ways, the RIA industry has experienced a rebirth—a reinvention of the traditional advisor.
Given the circumstance, RIA have reevaluated everything from their business models to the implementation and use of technology platforms to real estate to shepherding their own staff through difficult times. While the markets will eventually recover and the world will get back on track, RIA have been transformed - arguably for the better.
In that context, the 10th Annual RIA West Investment Forum will focus on the practice management techniques and investment strategies leading independent RIA firms should be familiar with in order to compete and survive in an increasingly crowded, increasingly competitive and rapidly changing market. Utilizing a safe, socially-distant format, the sessions will include guest speakers, workshops and discussion tables to foster collaboration and idea-sharing amongst the leaders in the ever-evolving RIA industry.

The Institutional Investor RIA Institute is a private membership organization for the nation’s largest and fastest-growing independent Registered Investment Advisors as well as supporting members from premier asset management firms and providers. Both members and supporting members of the RIA Institute come together at three private annual forums to engage in 1.5 days of intense idea exchange, discussion, and debate. The environment at each forum is collegial and collaborative, and overt marketing by any member is strictly prohibited. The agenda for each meeting is devised by our Advisory Board of RIA executives to ensure the content is created ‘by RIAs, for RIAs.’
Participation is strictly limited to qualified executives. Once registered, a member of the Institutional Investor's RIA Institute team will be in touch to confirm attendance. Due to capacity restraints, all registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
